The
Athletic Club of the University of Pécs was founded in 1923. Table tennis appeared after World War II in the association’s life. Over the past 10 years, the club had been a member of the Hungarian First Division. Our best result is a 1st place in the Hungarian Team championship in 2016/17. In the season of 2015/16 and 2017/18 we won 2nd place. In 2010 the team won the European Inter Cup Series. The association also has two second-class teams. Here train our espoir children and foreign table tennis players from the University. The club has 4 coaches, and about 30 adults and 25 kids train here on a daily basis. Our trainings take place in a training hall with 12 tables. Over the past few years, many famous Hungarian players played in the University’s team. Several children were selected to the national team who learned here to play high-level table tennis.
